Carolina Conference on Queer Youth

CONFERENCE HOME | KEYNOTE | SCHEDULE

We invite you to participate in the fifth annual Carolina Conference on Queer Youth in Charlotte. The conference will convene at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the Student Union on Friday, October 13, 2017. The conference is presented through a partnership of Equality NC, Time Out Youth Center, and the UNC Charlotte Multicultural Resource Center.

Conference attendees will include healthcare professionals, educators, K-12 school and college staff, community activists, and youth. The 2017 conference will place an emphasis on supporting LGBTQ youth health. Topics for proposals may include, but are not limited to, access to healthcare, healthcare for transgender youth, mental health, self-care, disability and ableism, HIV/STI testing and prevention, PrEP, substance and alcohol abuse, self-injury and suicide prevention, and inclusive sex education.

Parking is available for $10 for the day at the UNC Charlotte Student Union Parking Deck.

A light breakfast (muffins, pastry items, coffee & juice) and lunch will be provided for all attendees.
