Every year at the end of November, communities around the world come together to commemorate the Transgender Day of Remembrance—a day dedicated to honoring transgender individuals who have lost their lives to acts of violence over the past year. This year, Equality NC will join North Carolinians statewide by hosting events to commemorate this day, mourn those who are no longer with us, and recommit to our collective pledge to never stop fighting for Equality.

Charlotte: The Charlotte Gender Alliance hosts their annual Transgender Day of Remembrance gathering and ceremony with special speakers, a candle light vigil and community fellowship (Lesbian & Gay Community Center of Charlotte 820 Hamilton St., Suite B11.)
